Day 9 – Ikebukuro (Revisit)
Day 9 is only half a day long cos we had to leave Tokyo for the airport in the afternoon. (It's such a shame, cos today's bloody good weather!) We woke up at 8am, packed our stuff and checked out but left our luggage with the hotel until we came back to pick them up later.
We had gyuudon for breakfast at Matsuya (just gotta give it a try at least once) before we stopped by the train station to get our Narita Express tickets. Then immediately, we rushed back to Otome Road to do our last minute shopping! >_<!
Our first stop was Book Off again. I spent 30 mins trying to find anything by Naono Bohra and found just one or something, I don't quite remember anymore ^^; After that we went on to Animate cos we never really finished checking out the entire shop on the first day. This was also where Sean and I split up so that we can do our shopping more efficiently. I ended up buying just a Sengoku Basara tshirt and a Bleach folder.
After Animate, I walked in the direction of K-Books only to find another random otaku shop right next to it. I noticed it sells random loose figure pieces so I hopped in out of curiosity. In the end, I spent the most time and bought the most stuff (doujinshis) at this shop. ^_^ They had some pretty good bargains, not to mention that's where I found/bought my first Samurai 7 doujinshi ever!! ;_;!!
Next after this was K-Books, altho I have no idea which K-Book shop this is. There are two floors to this shop; the first floor sells just games and music CDs, the second floor random small merchandise, especially cards. I found myself some yummy Bleach (Grimmjowwww!!!) cards here so it was worth the visit and time spent....
...and that's pretty much it. Unfortunately we really didn't have much/enough time on this last day to visit all the other shops, not in just 3 hours. Sean and I rendezvous at the entrance to Animate, walked back to the hotel to grab our luggage, waved goodbye to the hotel and then off we went back to Narita Airport.
It's sad we have to leave Japan so 'soon' but it's not like I have enough monies left in my wallet. XD Anyway there can always be a next time... and they still sell crepes at the airport! XD!! So long Japan 2010!
Random note: It's great to have my Duffy Bear with me on the plane~! zZzzZzz~~
